Deana Carruth, 76, died at her residence on Wednesday, July 31, 2013.
Visitation will be 4-5 pm Sunday at Johnson-Moore Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be 10:00 am Monday, August 5, 2013 at Johnson-Moore Funeral Home. Officiating will be John Arnold with burial at Cedarlawn Memorial Park. Serving as pallbearers will be Chance Backest, Jochen Hotz, Carroll Spaugh, BJ Spaugh, Ray Yeargan and Steve Johnson.
Deana was born on October 3, 1936 in Calera, Oklahoma, the daughter of Floyd and Mary Marsh Grisham. She and Cecil Van Carruth were married on April 6, 1956 in Denison, Texas. He preceded her in death on November 29, 1996. She retired as a cashier from Barrett’s Drug Store and then worked as a cashier at the Hallmark store.
She is survived by her daughters, Linda Backest and her husband, Chance of Denison, Tammy Hotz and her husband, Jochen of Lavon, Texas and Wanda Johnson and her husband, Steve of Austin, Texas and sister, Dolly Spaugh of Sherman, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother, LD Harp and sister, Marian Sue Harp.
