Helen Frances Busby

August 15, 1944 - November 7, 2021

Helen F. Busby, 77, died on Sunday, November 7, 2021 at The Terrace at Denison. Helen was born at Perrin Air Force Base in Denison, Texas on August 15, 1944, the daughter of Jessie Perrin and Geneva May (Stephenson) Fletcher, Sr. She attended Tom Bean High School and she and James Busby were married in Durant, Oklahoma on December 17, 1965. James preceded her in death on January 11, 1979. Helen was a homemaker and enjoyed reading romance books, westerns, WWF wrestling, Elvis and being with her family. She is survived by her son, Joseph Dell Fletcher of Bonham, Texas; daughters, Shirley Guerrero and Stephanie Garcia both of Bonham, Texas; brother, Kenneth Ray Fletcher of Sherman; sister, Kathy George of San Diego, California; eight grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Helen was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James; son, Floyd Wayne Busby; brothers, Jessie P. Fletcher, Jr., James R. Fletcher, Wayne Fletcher, Michael David Fletcher and Bobby Fletcher; sisters, Lydia Fletcher, Fern Wise and Marie Fletcher. Her memorial service will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 16, 2021 with Reverend Raymond England officiating at Johnson-Moore Funeral Home. Her family will lay her to rest next to her husband in Hainline Cemetery in Marshall County, Oklahoma. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the American Diabetes Association,4100 Alpha Road, Suite 100, Dallas, Texas 75244.
