Julie Dee Thompson

October 9, 1970 - April 1, 2016

Denison Julie Dee Scibek Thompson of Denison, TX, went to be with our Lord on April 1, 2016, after a long and courageous battle with breast cancer. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the ARF House, an animal rescue foundation at www.arfhouse.com by choosing the “Honoring Loved Ones” link. Julie was born October 9, 1970 in Denison, TX to Richard F. and Alice Sue Scibek. She attended school in Durant, OK and graduated from Sulphur, LA High School in 1988. Julie is preceded in death by her daughter, Margaret Michelle “Maggie” Turner and her grandparents, James M. Wilson of Durant, OK and John and Dorothy Scibek of Pottsboro, TX. Julie is survived by her son, Ethan James Thompson; father, Richard F. Scibek; mother, Alice Sue Wilson; grandmother, Helen Wilson Sedlmeir; aunts, Jane Wilson, Mary Halley and Sue Brown; uncles, Jim Scibek, Mark Scibek and Steve Scibek and step-sisters, Kelly Olson and Kristi Hearrell. Julie is also survived by her long time companion, Dale Spaugh and many extended family members and friends. Memorial services will be held at Johnson-Moore Funeral Home, Denison, Texas on Saturday, April 9, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. Officiating is Reverend Cheryl Murphy.
