Starla T. Nipper

September 5, 1935 - August 21, 2013

Starla T. Nipper, 77, of Sherman, went to be with our Lord on Wednesday, August 21, 2013. She was born on September 5, 1935 at Overton, Texas to Patrick E. and Bonnie Elizabeth Wyatt Shockley. She attended Altus, OK schools and married Alvin Leroy Wilkinson on December 18, 1953 in Lawton, OK. After his passing she later married John Francis Nipper in Durant. He also preceded her in death. She was a homemaker. Survivors include her sons, Allen Wilinson and Timothy Wilkinson, both of Missouri; daughters, Sheila Godby and Elane Crenshaw, both of Texas and Sonya Rosentha; of Missouri; brothers Richard Shockley of Ohio, Jerry Shockley and LArry Shockley, both of Arizona; sisters Kitty McCaslin, Lorita Salina, both of Texas and Ann of California; Numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands; two sons, Chip Nipper and Eric Nipper; daughter, Starla M. Buckheister; two sisters, Cora Schockley and Patsy Engle. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, August 24, 2013 at Locust Cemetery with Brother Raymond England officiating.
