Virginia Rose Hunt

March 20, 1922 - March 14, 2009

Funeral sevices for Virginia Rose Hunt, 86, of Denison, will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday , March 18, 2009, in Johnson-Moore Funeral Home Chapel. Everett Hodges will officate, and burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. She died Saturday, March 14, 2009, in Texoma Medical Center. Mrs. Hunt was born March 20, 1922 in Denison, Texas, to Arthur G. and Hattie Mae York Malear. She graduated from Denison High School and married Emit Rodgers Hunt on July 20, 1945 in Denison, Texas. He died July 30, 1994. She worked for Kraft Foods, worked for the tax office during the tag season and was a homemaker. She was a member of the Park Avenue Church of Christ and volunteered as a Pink Lady at Texoma Medcial Center. Surviving are her sons Stan Hunt and wife Faye of Royse City, Texas and Danny Mark Hunt of Denison. Daughter, Jeannean Smith and her husband Paul C., Jr. of Bells, Texas, Brother, Arthur Malear, Jr. and wife Judith of Half Moon Bay, California, Sister, Joanna Kelley and husband Jack of Arlington, Texas. Grandchildren are Paul C. Smith, III (Chip), Amanda Smith Traweek, Trey Farrell, Jacquelyn Hunt, Greyson Hunt, Connor Hunt, Lauren Hunt, and Lucas Hunt. Great-Grandchildren are Ariel Nicole Smith, Emma Grace Burnett-Smith, and Rhett Traweek. Pallbearers wil be Stan Hunt, Danny Mark Hunt, Paul C. Smith,III (Chip), Trey Farrell, Paul C. Smith, Jr., Tracy Traweek, Graylen Malear. Mrs. Hunt was preceded in death by her parents, brother Dan Malear and her husband Emit. Memorials may be made to the Amercian Diabetes Association, 4425 W. Airport Freeway, Suite 130, Irving, Texas 75062.
