Willie O. Armstrong

April 25, 1934 - February 6, 2021

Denison Willie O. Armstrong, 86, went to be with her Lord and her loved ones in Heaven on Saturday, February 6, 2021 at Medical City in Plano. Willie was born on April 25, 1934 in Mill Creek, Oklahoma, the daughter of Dewey and Nola (Pittman) Little. She and Billy W. Armstrong were married on June 13, 1953 in Oklahoma City, OK. He preceded her in death on December 23, 2002. She worked at K. Wolens for 10 years and then retired from Walmart after over 27 years in the fabric department. She loved to sew, making clothes for her children, had a green thumb, loved kids and was everyone’s mom, baking fabulous homemade goodies for all including fresh bread. She was feisty but always had a smile and kind word for everyone. Willie loved her God and read her Bible every day. She is survived by her sons, Terry Armstrong and his wife, Katherine, Michael Armstrong and his wife, Terri, Steve Armstrong and his wife, Debra all of Denison and Daniel Armstrong and his wife, Pamela Lee of Allen; daughters, Doris Ann Bluffington and her husband, Kent of Wylie, Greta Armstrong and Lee Champion of Edgewood and Gena Brown of Joplin, Missouri; 21 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Bill, Jr.; daughter, Carol Bullock and son-in-law, D.J. Brown. Willie will lay in state from 9-3:30 on Thursday, February 11 for people to come by and pay their respects and sign the register book . Due to COVID-19, her family will have a private service and burial. Arrangements are under the direction of Johnson-Moore Funeral Home.
