Earnest McLain, 71, passed away at his residence in Sherman Wednesday, December 26, 2012.
Visitation will be 1-2 p.m. Saturday, December 29, 2012 at Johnson-Moore Funeral Home.
Memorial services will be at 6:00 p.m. Monday, December 31, 2012 at New Beginnings Fellowship Church. Pastor Gene Amerson will officiate.
Earnest was born June 7, 1941 in Denison, Texas the son of Mahlon Preston and Helen Ray Binion McLain. He was a graduate of Denison High School. He and Sandy Peppers were married on April 4, 1980 in Oklahoma. He was employed as the shop foreman at Red River Truck Service for over 16 years.
He is survived by his wife, Sandy McLain of Sherman; sons, Earnest O. McLain of Denison, Tony McLain of Denison, Cody McLain of Sherman and Tyler McLain of Sherman; daughters, Zelta Smith of Denison and Misty McLain of Denison; brother, Melvin McLain of Madill, Oklahoma; sister, Laura Faye Baker of Savoy, Texas; ten grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, James Earl McLain; and one sister, Shirley Presley.
